Great Midlands Fun Run

What a fantastic day, it was just wonderful seeing so many bright pink Breakthrough T-shirts amongst the 7,000 crowd doing the Great Midlands Fun run today. Thank you to everyone for taking part, raising awareness and vital funds and for making it so much fun!

Great Midlands Fun Run 2012

What a great day we had at the 2012 Fun Run.

Some of us walked, some jogged, some ran, but we all enjoyed ourselves immensely as the crowd made us all feel like gold medal winners!

We are waiting to see how much has been raised at the annual cheque presentations in November - whatever we get will be a bonus as every penny counts.

Breakthrough Golf Day 2012

Golf Day Success








Thanks to all our very generous supporters we enjoyed another successful golf day raising £5,000!

This was the 14th Barbara Hargreaves Golf Challenge Cup, held in memory of Mike Hargreaves' wife Barbara. Thanks to Mike and Jenny of Coltham Developments (seen above), along with many loyal supporters, the annual golf days have raised an amazing £177,000 for Breakthrough Breast Cancer.

Here you can see the lovely booby prizes presented to the team with the lowest score - all received in good humour!

Here are the ladies who make it happen - Jenny who organises the event along with Julie our treasurer and Julie our chair (with the bucket)!


















And here are the serious golfers including Mike who brings us all together each year, along with Arnie Kaplan who has so generously donated to our group from The Gentleman's Night Out Charity.
